- Q: SAFESPORT TRAINING, what counts? A: If a parent volunteer takes Safesport Training, the time spent in the locker room DOES counts toward volunteer hours, but the training to get the Safesport Certification does not count towards the volunteer hour requirement. Why? A parent volunteer could take the Safesport trailing, but never help during the season.
- Q: Do locker room monitor hours count at away games?
A: Yes. Any hours volunteered either at home or away tournaments count provided they can be confirmed by the team manager or coach.
- Q: Does donation of new or used hockey gear count for volunteer hours?
- A: No. BUT – Donations of gear is always appreciated by Salmon Hockey Association!!
